This blog serves to document my experiences in MLIS 7505 at Valdosta State University. I'm taking the class, Applied Technologies in Library Practice, for Maymester 2012.
I created a category called "homepage blog" in the category manager. I changed the menu item type of my "home" menu entry to "category blog." That brings up additional options for styling the blog (number of articles on first page, columns, etc. After that, every article that I assign to the category "homepage blog" and publish will pop up at the top of the page. When they reach the maximum number of articles for the first page, joomla will automatically create a second page and navigation options at the bottom. It's pretty nifty, you can have as many blogs as you want on one site, you just make a separate category for each.
Nice job on the site, Natalie. I like the fonts, two menus on the FAQ page, and the blog on the home page. How did you set up the blog?
